Westcoast Prenatals run by Dasha Kvyatkovski
RN, BScN, Labour and Delivery Nurse.
The first time I became interested in obstetrics I was 7 yrs old. My mother
told me about my birth story right after my brother was born. Since then
I have collected many stories; some from Russia, where I was born; others
from Israel and Canada where I grew up. These stories fascinated and
inspired me, and I graduated from UBC School of Nursing with a specialty
in obstetrics. During my university education, I was involved in the
Baby-Friendly Initiative Project to promote breastfeeding, and I attended
many conferences and seminars, including Penny Simkin's workshop.
I finished a rotation teaching prenatal classes in Vancouver community health unit, and focused most of my elective studies on adult education and psychology.
Currently, I work at BC Women's hospital in Labour and Delivery Unit,
Cedar Unit, Assessment Room and Operating Room. I maintain my Canadian Nurses Association Perinatal Specialty by continuing my education with conference and seminar attendance. Thank you for your time and I look
forward to hearing from you.
